This book is a collection of stories–some funny and some sad–about families who have been served by Clackamas County Community Health Nurses. The stories reveal a lot about the nurses whose public health careers involve visiting struggling families in their homes. It was written and compiled as part of my leadership project for the Oregon Public Health Leadership Institute, 2003-2004. Shari was my mentor during the yearlong Leadership Institute, and this book could not have been written without her!
